What does it mean to sacrifice something to God, be it dreams, wills, careers, etc?
I often wonder about that.
Does it mean I should completely put it away from my mind and not desire it at all?
I could never fully grasp the meaning of sacrifice.
Until someone told me that
consecrating ourselves to God means even when God takes away something precious in your life, you can still praise Him with your heart.
Now I understand.
And I will learn to sacrifice :]
Haven't seen your guys for 2 weeks, and I really miss you all!

Pressure
I don't know if I can continue doing praise...
It's hard to be a good piano accompanist after I've not been playing it for more than 6 years... feels like I've just been trying to force something out for the past 2 or 3 weeks.
Besides, I see my classmates getting works done in the weekend, while I was always running around places...
Does it mean I should push myself harder? or maybe it's just not something I can accomplish anymore..
And if going to church is just an act of obeying God's command, doesn't it mean that I can go to any church? at least a church that's closer to where I am?
I'm just throwing out my ideas here...
Also, Richie's good at his teaching job, so is May. So is Eric in his new job, and so are Ki Young and Jimmy enjoying their new career. But I'm not good in what I do...I'm a little worried that I might have chosen the wrong major...but it's probably too late to change now...and I don't know what major I'm supposed to be neither...
Sigh.

Worship vs. Praise
Just a question to throw out to you guys. What do you think the terms worship and praise are in definition and in what the Bible teaches us about them? Do you feel that they are interchangeable or are there differences? Let me know what you all think about this.
*Since we are all called to worship I figured we should all know this one but don't worry if you get stuck cos there was so much to it that I hadn't known in the start. Hopefully this will be an interest to you all. God bless.

Why do we go to church?
This is a question raised by one of my fellow sisters in Caltech small group.
"Do we go to church for the pastor's sermon, fellowship, or serving others? Then, if I can listen to sermons on line, I can get fellowships and servitude from campus small group, why do I really have to go to church on Sunday? Is it just a Christian tradition that we all have to follow?"
She's only 16 (yes, we have freshmen that are only 16 yr old...), but I don't know any better either. What do you guys think about this??

Have a good one guys... and girls...
OKAY.... I guess you don't need Gmail to write blogs on blogger, so just e-mail me your e-mail addresses that you want to log in as in blogger and I will send you the invite! =)
